You already know the Versus Evil name, but who exactly are the people hard at work behind the scenes to bring you the best indie games around? Well, allow us to formally introduce ourselves!
This week, we’re continuing the series with Francis, our beloved Director of Product Strategy. Francis does a lot for us, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. Not only does he do it all with a cool, calm collectiveness, he’s usually the first one to crack a joke during meetings to start things off on the right foot. An appreciated skill that doesn’t usually end up on a resume.
Fun Fact (or “a fact,” as Lance calls them): Francis and I have been in the games industry for a very long time, and our paths have actually crossed before! Although we never met in person, we were marketing partners over email, which is a sacred bond in this biz. 😂

How long have you been at Versus Evil?
Since July 2014.
What do you do here?
Anything it takes to launch our titles – usually that means helping our devs figure out what features are needed, when to launch their game, pricing, and overall go to market strategy.
What’s your favorite game of all time?
Romance of the Three Kingdoms II
If you could design your perfect game, what would it be like?
My favorite gaming moments all come from who I was able to share them with, but I guess the perfect game for me would be some combination of my favorite games growing up: Civ II, Pool of Radiance, Destiny of an Emperor, Final Fantasy VI, Diablo II, GoldenEye, Dungeons of Daggorath….
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I love to travel – mostly to Mexico, but love visiting family in Houston, Minnesota, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, DC, Boston, Los Angeles, and Taipei as well. (I have a lot of siblings!)
I also have a weekly D&D game which has been going on for years with an amazing group of friends – we’re currently about the enter the final level of the Dungeon of the Mad Mage.
