There’s not a ton of news this week, but we do have some neat stuff to share. I hope everyone has been staying safe and hydrated. Since this week was supposed to be E3, there’s loads of digital conferences happening all over the internet – I hope you’ve all seen something you’re excited about!
Wintermoor Tactics Club
If you’re anything like us, you’ve been in a lot of Zoom calls these past couple months. You may also have realized you have the option to have a virtual background during these calls, which is a great way to hide the fact that you haven’t made your bed in a week and all of your houseplants are dying from overwatering. With that in mind, we figured you might want some neat backgrounds from Wintermoor!
Fun fact: these are also great as desktop backgrounds if you’re looking to update your screen from that pink and green nebula image you added a year ago because it was so a e s t h e t i c at the time. (okay maybe I’m just speaking from personal experience)
The awesome folks at EVC are continuing to make improvements to the game and are super appreciative for all your feedback. This week’s patch will make their English teachers proud. As always you can communicate directly with the team about any questions or issues you have through the Wintermoor channel in the Versus Evil Discord server.
Patch Notes:
- Corrections to grammar/spelling errors (thanks for the reports, community)
- Fixing a rare softlock bug in the first club battle
- Tweaks to character spawn locations and movements in cutscenes
- Hooking up a few conditionals that got lost, allowing for more reactive dialog in some campaign writing sections.
- Performance improvements to loading levels, and displaying the credits

You may be wondering why we’ve been so quiet about HitchHiker lately. Well…it wouldn’t be much of a mystery game if I told you now would it? I don’t have any big reveals or updates to make in this blog, but I do have some pretty badass Zoom/Desktop backgrounds for you! If you use any of these please make sure you tweet at us so I can see!

This digital indie games even was originally scheduled for last weekend, but we made the decision to refocus that time on a Black Voices in Gaming spotlight which you can check out here.
Tune in this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 9am PT | 12pm ET | 5pm GMT for announcements, gameplay, and trailer premieres from 20+ indie game developers and publishers.
