Hello VE Community,

It’s me, Lauren, your friendly neighbourhood VE GIRL!

I had ONE Mission: To take on WASD for the first time representing Versus Evil! I was excited and nervous because it had been a while since I’d stepped out of the house and returned to the big city of London. Being me, I made sure I was there at least an hour early, and the energy of The Truman Brewery was buzzing, with devs both setting up booths and getting their own secret brews for that day.

Armed with my trusty coffee, I began the search for fresh new indies because I was not only representing Versus Evil, but also scouting for games that might make great additions to our line-up.

Running up the metal stairs to the exhibition room, I somehow felt like a contestant on one of those wacky game shows. I took to the show floor, and my oh my, what an amazing set-up! The first standout had to be the team over at the Devolver booth, which was themed in Cult of the Lamb, and even included a human-sized lamb running around taking pictures with its minions.

I also got to try out some other interesting indie games, such as Paper Trail and Vampire Survivors. These games definitely had me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t resist sinking my teeth into them (see what I did there?).

In between jumping on controllers and sweeping up amazing swag, I had some very important coffee talk meetings with some super-talented people, and it honestly warmed my heart to hear the passion in their voices whilst talking about their creations and seeing their eyes light up and I asked them to deep dive into more details. I would love to tell you more about that, but for now… stay tuned.

The atmosphere was great, and I would say a super successful day. Not just for me, but for Versus Evil as well with getting our name out there in the UK.

I plan on attending more shows in the near future and will report back from those as well! Until next time, stay frosty!
