Hey folks, VS Dave here!
It’s that time of the year right before winter hits, when we take a step back and reflect on the things we’re thankful for. For us, one of those things is the team at RUNWILD Entertainment, who have not let up on Almighty: Kill Your Gods since its Early Access launch back in May!
It’s been a few weeks since we last checked in, so here’s Creative Director Darren Thomas to update us on how development is going. Enjoy!

Updates We're Thankful For
What’s new at RUNWILD? We are keeping busy improving Almighty! Work continues on optimization and bug fixing, and we are likely to keep saying this over the next couple of months. We have had a bit more focus on multiplayer issues and are addressing some known problems there with enemies going out of sync. We have also done maintenance on some of the player account and backend systems to make those more efficient for the future.
What else… Oh! We are putting the final touches to the Home Island economy. First up is a representation of the different upgrade levels of the island and what can be potentially earned from upgrading them. This info can be accessed through the Island Overview stall and is hopefully a lot clearer for you.
Each aspect of the island can be upgraded, and their percentage of upgrade will determine the amount of resources that can be earned during a day. The Prestige level will determine the number of bonus item types that will be given from those available.
The Island Overview now allows you to collect the bonus items, as well as gold you earn each day, and we will be looking into additional balancing for the economy soon.
Upgrading the Brewery, Boatyard and Academy through the available work orders there will provide you with some good XP. Each of them has 10 work orders to complete.
Approach the Kindred standing in front of the Academy’s main doors to complete the work orders. At the Brewery and Boatyard, there are stalls for you to interact with.
There is now a bar in the Brewery where you can buy a drink or some food depending on which Kindred you interact with. And speaking of the Kindred, they love the Brewery, too! Watch them grab a crafty drink when they walk past.
Toss a few gold coins to the Kindred band to watch them perform. You may even see some Kindred out on the dance floor if the mood takes them.
We have finished off the behavior improvements for the Kindred and are now putting in place the ability to upgrade those behaviors, which will eventually be hooked up to the Academy.
We are continuing to flesh out the Hollows and are putting the final touches to the ones located on Anu island.
It’s a lot of work, but the game is steadily moving forward, and we hope to have a new update out soon with all the latest improvements.
Until then, thank you for your support, Aphas. And please continue to share your feedback, bug reports, and anything else with us!
That’s all for now! As always, if you have any content to share or questions for the team, please feel free to reach out via our socials. You can stay in touch with me and the rest of the Versus Evil team by joining our Discord and following us on Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook.
